The Court of First Instance for Criminal Cases of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, considering the motion filed by our office’s attorney Edgar Ayvazyan to apply detention as a preventive measure against A.P., who is accused of a grave crime, rejected it and instead chose house arrest as a preventive measure.
We are grateful to Judge Martin Arzumanyan for again conducting an exemplary trial and issuing a fair judicial act. Thanks to such judges, a practice is gradually being formed that the detention of a person should be an extreme measure.
