In December 2023, the Illegal Asset Forfeiture Department of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office completed the process of examining the legality of the property belonging to the RA citizen R.Kh. and his family members. Based on the findings of the examination, which allegedly revealed illegally acquired property, a claim for confiscation of this property was filed with the RA Anti-Corruption Court.
Attorneys Gurgen Nersisyan and Arsen Sardaryan from the “LSA” Law Office, representing the citizen R.Kh. and his family members, presented substantial legal and factual arguments during the preliminary court hearings of the anti-corruption civil case. As a result, the prosecutor’s office withdrew its claim, and on 20.08.2024 the court terminated the anti-corruption civil case proceedings.
Within the framework of these proceedings, the attorneys highlighted several legal issues related to the legal regulations established by the RA Law “On Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property” and their practical application, which will be discussed later.
